Gründungsmitglied Matt Krupanski kehrt Boysetsfire den Rücken um sich fortan der Architektur zu widmen. Auch sein Bruder Marc -erst 2012 als Bassist eingestiegen- verlässt die Band.
Matt Krupanski hat sich über Jahre zum Architekten ausbilden lassen und plant nun sein Wissen umzusetzen – was nicht mit dem Leben in einer Rockband vereinbar scheint. Man lässt ihn nur schweren Herzens gehen, möchte seinem “Bruder” und seiner Zukunft aber nicht im Wege stehen.
Die gute Nachricht: Man wird die Fans nicht lange im Unklaren über die Besetzung lassen. Schon Morgen will man sich mit positiven Nachrichten das Album und neue Bandmitgliedern betreffend zurückmelden.
Alle angesetzten Shows und Touren werden planmässig stattfinden, versichert Chad Istvan. Boysetsfire stehen für den kommenden Sommer schon bei Greenfield, Southside, Hurricane und Mair1 im Wort.

I’ve written and erased this announcement a number of times over the last few months. i can’t say whether it’s that i don’t know the right way to approach what I’m saying or if the act of saying it gives a certain finality to the words but here goes…
Matt Krupanski long time friend will not be playing with us anymore. he has a number of incredible opportunities in his life right now and understandably will pursue them. it turns out when we saw him reading books with titles like “why buildings stand up” and “why buildings fall down” it was a lot more than just a vague interest in architecture, it was a new passion. Matt graduated from the Pratt institute last spring after 5(?) challenging years learning things that make ZERO sense to me and now he will put that knowledge to good use.
this is the spot that i get to with each revision and start to gush or whatever but knowing Matt he wouldn’t want that. I’ll just end mine with this:

yer my boy, blue!-Chadok..to finish up the bad news, in order to get to the good stuff.. Matt’s brother Marc will no longer be playing bass with us. He would rather us not make a big fuss. We were happy to have you with us Marc, and sad to see you go. For all the crazy and bad news today…Chad, Josh, and Nathan will be sharing a ton of good news with you tomorrow involving the new recordings, new band members, as well as reasserting that all shows and tours are still on!!!!! Thank you guys so much for your patience and love!
