Dieses Jahr spielten The Cure beim Bestival im Robin Hill Country Park auf der Isle of Wight eine 2 1/2-stündige Headlinershow, die sie nun als Doppel-CD veröffentlichen werden. Ein Datum für die Veröffentlichung steht bereits fest: 2. Dezember 2011.
Alle Einnahmen, die mit dem Verkauf von “Bestival Live 2011: the Cure” erzielt werden, sollen an die Isle of Wight Youth Trust gehen. Als Aufgabe hat sich diese unabhängige Organisation gesetzt, jungen Menschen unter 25 Jahren beratend, informativ und unterstützend zur Seite zu stehen.
